Also in 1999 we will start publishing here pictures from past newsletters. One such is below:
The Society's fifth annual meeting was held at the Washington Sheraton hotel on October 27, 1995. Twenty-six Society members, including three from Russia, gathered for dinner and discussion. Our photo at right shows our Russian Secretary Leonid Polyakov presenting his recent book on Peter the Great to Society member Jack Matlock, American ambassador to the Soviet Union from 1987 to 1991.
