D-Day and Beyond - PHOTO GALLERY
[Gallery photos will be added here during July 2004; they will normally be grouped as they relate to particular chapters in D-Day and Beyond.]

1. OMAHA BEACH
This previously unpublished photo was taken on Omaha Beach on D+1, that is June 7th, 1944, by an unknown photographer who was killed that same day. Shortly after a battery from the 110th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion landed on the beach that day, one of the soldiers saw a camera lying on the beach near the photographer who had been killed. He picked up the camera and had its film developed later, yielding only this one image.

3. BUCHENWALD
On November 20, 2002, Clint Gardner visited Buchenwald-survivor Elie Wiesel at his Boston University office and presented him with a copy of the map of Buchenwald described in Chapter 3 of D-Day and Beyond.
