The State of South Carolina

In the name of God, Amen!

I, Anthony W. Riecke, resident of the City and County of Charleston, State aforesaid, being of sound and disposing mind do make, publish and declare this writing to be my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made.

Knowing the natural frailty of human nature, and being aware that I have often and in many ways sinned against God and man, I would cast myself upon the tender mercies of a forgiving Savior, who died that sinners might be saved, and would commend my soul to my Heavenly Father who gave it.

As to my worldly Estate:

First, I direct my Executrix, as soon as practicable after my death, to pay my just debts and funeral expenses.

Second, I give, devise, and bequeath all my estate, both real and personal of which I shall die siezed and possessed to my beloved wife, Joanna Caroline Riecke, during her life. She has been to me a true and worthy helpmate in joy, and a comfort in adversity, God bless her. At the death of my said wife, I will and direct that my said estate be equally divided among our children in equal parts to them, their heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns forever, the child or children of any deceased child to take the share the parent would be entitled to had such parent survived.

My dear ones, far and near, I would commend to the kind care of our Heavenly Father, who has promised to be the widow's God, and a friend to the fatherless. May he ever bless and help them.

I name, constitute, and appoint my wife, Joanna Caroline Riecke, executrix of this my last will and testament.

Should it at any time plainly appear that a sale of any portion of my Estate, real or personal, would be for the benefit of the same, then and in such case I empower my said executrix or whosoever is charged with the administration of my estate to make sale of such portion of myestate and reinvest the proceeds in other property, real or personal, under the trusts and limitations of this my Will.

In witness whereof I have hereunto signed my name and placed my seal this 29th day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and seven.

Anthony W. Riecke (LS)

Signed, sealed, published, and declared by the said Anthony W. Riecke, on the day above written as, and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, hereto subscribed our names as witnesses.
