This course is designed to offer a perspective on the unruly beast known as World History. There are obviously difficulties in trying to select an approach and a content for a one semester course on a subject of this magnitude. Take a look at the course content we have come up with, and let me know if you can think of a better way to do "World History" in 4 months! In addition to regular classwork and homework assignments, students are expected to complete four research projects, one for each of the four major units of the course. Study Guides are available online for each of the principal course units: Evolution and Prehistory, the Classical World, the Medieval World, and the Age of Elizabeth. |
