ValleyNet helps to sponsor the Community Technology Center at the Grafton County Senior Citizens Council building in Lebanon, adjacent to the CCBA. Here you can find computers (PCs and Macs) all with high-speed Internet connections, available for your use. Most mornings and some afternoons there are also helpful volunteers ready to assist you in using the web, setting up an email account, and generally learning about the web and computers. Editing Digital PhotosTuesday, April 22 at 1:30pm, repeated Wednesday, April 23 at 7pm (moved from an earlier date)Converse Free Library, Lyme, NH In this one-hour program, Bob Raiselis will demonstrate the kinds of techniques that anyone can use to make digital photographs look better, including cropping, sharpening, color correction, and even removing distracting details. A quick look at preparing photos for online auctions will also be included. Tuesday, April 22 at 1:30pm, repeated Wednesday, April 23 at 7pm. Getting the Most from GoogleTuesday, April 29 at 4:30pmHowe library, Hanover In this ninety-minute program we'll look at the basics of using search engines like Google to find practically anything (and everything) on the web, and then we'll look at some of the new features that Google has introduced. Did you know that Google has a built-in calculator? The program is free and open to all.
