Webster Hall became Rauner Library when it was converted for use by Baker Library special. Webster Hall used to be the main performance space on campus before the Hopkins Center was built. What goes around, comes around.

Anne Beaman, Michael Hanchett, Joe Cheevers, Dexter Cooper, Gordon K. Barr, and John Fay were the first to correctly identify Rauner Library.

Maria Weber Lamson said that "...it's the sign out in front of one of the most beautiful buildings in Hanover - Rauner Library. My friend Sarah just gave me a tour of the archives and some of the remarkable documents housed there - it's a treasure, inside and out! (Can you tell that I'm a librarian?)."
