Maurice Gilbert was the first (and only) person to correctly identify this little bit of signage as being on the Claremont Fire Station. We had lots of guesses identifying it as the Lebanon firehouse- is there a frieze on that building that looks anything like this?
From the City of Claremont's web page about the building...
...Our single, central station, located at 100 Broad Street, houses our equipment, a line of three engines, a rescue and two ladders. The building was originally constructed in 1917 and initially housed horse-drawn equipment. The original builders would be gratified to know that their building now holds nearly one hundred tons of motorized fire apparatus on the first floor. The structure also has a full basement and a second floor containing offices and living space.
