''support@microsoft.com'' Virus
Spring 2003 A new computer worm that disguises itself as an e-mail from Microsoft Corp. is spreading. The e-mail containing the virus enclosure appears to come from support@microsoft.com, but is not from the software company. When the attachment is opened, the worm copies itself to the Windows folder, scoops up e-mail addresses from the hard disk and starts sending itself out.
If you receive a message listed as being from support@microsoft.com. delete it immediately; do not open it.
Most ValleyNet subscribers will not see one of these messages, as they are safely being blocked by the Message Center service, but it is possible for the dangerous nmessage to reach you by other routes.
