Outlook Express Won't Deliver Attachments

Question: I have not had any access to attachments sent to me via my email account. Every attachment has the statement written above the senders' address on a yellow highlighted line: OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your email.

There is an option in Outlook Express that can remove attachments if you have this option set. Here's where to go to find that option:

  1. Click on the Tools pulldown menu in Outlook Express
  2. Click on Options
  3. Click on the Security tab
  4. You will see an option for: "Do not allow attachments to be opened or saved that could potentially be a virus". Make sure this is NOT checked.
  5. Then make sure you click Apply at the bottom of this screen, and then OK.
