How do I change the password in my dialer?

For Windows95 or Windows98 users, you need to enter the password right under your user name in the dial-up window. Type it in there.

Try to log into ValleyNet using the dial-up shortcut. If you cannot connect, it means the password you previously changed and the password you entered into the Login section are somehow different. Try again or call your ISP for help.

For Macintosh users with older machines, your old password is in the ConfigPPP control panel. Click on the Config button and then the Authentication button. Change your password there if the password field is filled in with a set of dots (these represent your old password). Click on the Connection Script button; if you see your old password in this window, replace it with your new password.

If you have a newer Macintosh computer you change the password in the PPP control panel or the Remote Access control panel. (Look under the Apple Icon and select Control Panels.) Delete your old password (it is indicated by a row of dots) and type in your new password. Save the changes when the programs asks.
