While SoVerNet is your main source of technical support for help with your @valley.net email account and connection issues, ValleyNet continues to offer computer service on an hourly fee basis in our White River offices.

Operating system updates

We can download and install the correct Microsoft security patches, including the new Service Pack 2 for the XP operating system, and Mac operating system updates for your OS-10 Mac, on your computer, and set up your machine to do this automatically in the future.

Is your computer infected with a worm or virus?

We can find and delete the worm or virus, and then add the correct Microsoft security patch so that your machine won't be infected by that worm or virus again.

Anti-virus software installation

You purchase the antivirus software (ask us for some recommendations) and we'll install it, make sure the software is set to automatically update each week, and run a virus scan to remove any existing viruses.

SPAM filtering set-up

We'll fine-tune the configuration of your ValleyNet Message Center to filter your mail properly for SPAM and virus emails.

Spyware removal

We'll load a free spyware eradicator software on your computer and run a scan which will eliminate any existing spyware. We'll show you how to run it each week to remove this latest threat for home computer users.

Did your home page get hijacked?

Does your home page go to a site of questionable taste no matter what you do to change it? We can install a free program to take care of the problem, and show you how to use it in the future.

Home networking

Need to connect a number of computers and printers together in your home network? Want to have a wireless network? We can do that!

Is your computer suddenly running very slowly?

Can't do what you used to be able to do? We know what to do to bring your computer back to optimal performance. We can run disk defrag, eliminate unnecessary programs, and use other specialized utilities to improve your machine's performance.
