A private nonprofit dedicated to advancing the well-being of children and families by providing an array of social services to strengthen family life and by promoting community commitment to the needs of children.

Services in the Upper Valley include: Family counseling, adoption, foster care, child abuse prevention, intervention, home-based family support, teen risk behavior prevention, transitional/independent living services, in-school social work, summer camp for disadvantaged youth and child advocacy.

CFS is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Children and Family Services, is a founding member of the Child Welfare League of America and is a funded member of the United Way.

Upper Valley Substance Abuse Foundation

Since 1992 the Upper Valley Substance Abuse Foundation (UVSAF) has provided support to chemically dependent individuals seeking sobriety. We sponsor community outreach education and prevention programs to children in schools throughout the Upper Connecticut River Valley, advocacy at the state and national levels to reduce the stigma associated with the disease of addiction, and provide a volunteer staffed drop-in center The Turning Point Club.

Our newest program, Willow Grove provides a safe, supportive, confidential, transitional residence for women (and their children) in recovery from drugs and/or alcohol.
