Your Privacy is important to us
ValleyNet is committed to your privacy. We take care to protect the security of your customer information and to control how it is used. ValleyNet will safeguard, according to prudent security standards, the confidentiality of all nonpublic information that you provide to us in writing, electronically, and over the telephone.

Information ValleyNet Collects
ValleyNet limits the collection, use and retention of confidential information to what we believe is necessary to provide you with quality service. Information we receive from you on account applications such as your name, address, birthdate, credit card data, telephone number, etc. is collected for the purpose of servicing your account and will be used exclusively for that purpose.

ValleyNet Security Procedures
ValleyNet customer information is maintained as paper and electronic files. Security measures are in place to protect this data from unauthorized access. ValleyNet maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to secure your nonpublic personal information.

Information that ValleyNet shares internally
ValleyNet restricts access to the personal and account information of our customers to those employees who need to know that information in the course of their job responsibilities. Billing and credit card information is available to ValleyNet staff for the purpose of account authorization and support only.

Information ValleyNet shares with outside organizations
ValleyNet does not share nonpublic customer information with other businesses or individuals except what may be required: to service your account, to collect delinquent accounts; to our auditors; to respond to a subpoena, court order, or judicial process; to pursue a proposed or actual sale, merger, or transfer of all or a portion of a business or operating unit.

Accessing your ValleyNet account information
ValleyNet customers can access billing information via the phone by providing an exact match of the customer profile data including: name, original account password, and current mailing address. Subscribers may also access their customer records at the ValleyNet office with an appropriate photo ID. If you believe that our records are incorrect, please notify us as soon as possible by contacting the ValleyNet office.

ValleyNet staff will not release account passwords over the phone, nor will we release credit card numbers over the telephone. We will reset an email password per a telephone request if the caller can supply the original user name and password for the account in question, and we will verify (but not give out) the credit card account number to which we are charging account balances.

Protecting privacy is a partnership. ValleyNet encourages you to help us protect your account information. Please do not disclose your account numbers, passwords, etc. to anyone. If you suspect someone has made unauthorized use of your accounts, please contact ValleyNet's Executive Director at 802 359-4162.
